Kaylea Jo Egnor is a 2027 candidate for a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Directing at University of Memphis. A coal miner’s daughter from the hills of Appalachia, she is a proud graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned dual BAs in Theatre and Criminology. There, she was recognized as the 2023 Outstanding Graduating Senior by the Canady College of Creative Arts. She is the Founding Artistic Director of Montani StageLab in Memphis, Tennessee, where she produces and directs experimental work that challenges digital oppression. On Substack, she runs a national interview series called A.D.E.T- American Divas of Experimental Theatre. She also plays on a co-ed softball team because, you know, balance.
