Julia Brownell is a two-time Emmy-nominated TV writer, screenwriter and playwright. She’s written on television shows such as This is Us, Parenthood, The Path, Smash, Hung, and the upcoming Amazon Prime Legally Blonde prequel Elle and the Netflix series Langdon: The Secret of Secrets. Julia’s play All-American premiered Off-Broadway produced by Lincoln Center/LCT3 and has been produced across the country. Her play Smart Cookie won the Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Prize and had its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. She’s a competitive marathon runner and the mom of two boys.
