And our final new play reading of 2026 has been cast! We’re thrilled to announce the cast for American Steel, by Alex Lin. The play is our third reading of the 2026/27 New Plays Indy season. More information and a link to reserve tickets here.

Ryan Artzberger (Rory/Tom)

Ryan is a local actor with several national credits and extensive credits at the IRT. He has also been seen in productions with the Phoenix, Summit, and Indy Shakes, where he is the artistic director. He is a graduate of Ohio University and Juilliard. Love and gratitude to Marita, Will, and Clara.

Oliver Palmer (Liam/Wyatt)

Oliver Palmer feels blessed to be working with Alex Lin and the folks at The New Harmony Project. Sean Patrick Reilly (Tadhg/Liam Jr.)

Broadway: Tracy Letts’ Superior Donuts and Martin McDonough’s The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Other recent theatre: Relentless (Syracuse Stage), The Front Page (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Glengarry Glen Ross (Alley Theatre), Amadeus (TheatreSquared), Doubt (Geva Theatre), Good People (Indiana Rep.), American Buffalo (Two River Theatre), Of Mice and Men (Westport Playhouse), Bill W and Dr Bob (Cleveland Play House). TV includes four seasons as Joe Scolari on Billions (Showtime), Bull, SVU, Criminal Intent, Blue Bloods, Law & Order, and more. Films include: Jury of Your Peers, The Book Signing, A Wife Alone, Following Bliss, and Sleepers among many. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and The Neighborhood Playhouse.

Shelbi Berry Komohara (Darragh/Alana)

Shelbi is a local Indianapolis actor and musician. Credits include The Addams Family (Wednesday), Footloose (Rusty), Hello Dolly! (Minnie Fay), and Honky Tonk Angels (Darlene) at Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre, originating the role of Marjory Meade in Mr. Confidential at ATI, The Two Kids that Blow Shit Up (Diana) at Fonseca Theatre, Bat Boy: The Musical (Rick) with Cryptid Entertainment, Amadeus (Katherine/Opera Soloist) with Catalyst Repertory, Dance Nation (Amina) with Betty Rage Productions, numerous original plays through Summit, and assistant directing a recent production of Hamlet for the Garfield Park Shakespeare Company. She can also be seen as a vocalist in Crossroad Entertainment cabarets at Feinsteins: Hotel Carmichael or working on the admin team at Indy Fringe Theatre.

Eric Reiberg (Padraic/Daniel)

Eric is an (almost) lifelong resident of Indianapolis. He has most recently appeared on stage in Wad and A Case For The Existence Of God with American Lives Theatre at the Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre. He is once again extremely excited to be a part of a New Plays Indy project with New Harmony.

Eric’s career in the performing arts has been spent working in technical theater, event production, and teaching stage technology at the high school and university level. He has worked as a designer and technical director for numerous plays and musicals. He currently works as a building inspector in Marion County.

He thanks Leo, Lucas, and all his family and friends who are endless and enduring with their support and love.

Samantha Lewis (Maeve/Kelly Anne)

Samantha J Lewis is an actor, technician and educator based in Indianapolis. She graduated from Ball State with her BFA in Acting and minors in Spanish and New Works for the Stage in 2024. Credits include Mrs. Greene in The Prom, Fantine in Les Miserables and Olga in a 1990’s-based adaptation of Chekhov’s Three Sisters. She was also a part of Defiance Comedy’s 2026 Indy Fringe Show: A Scout’s Honor as well as the 2025 Phoenix Theatre and Cultural Centre’s annual Christmas comedy. As a technician, Sam has experience in wardrobe, carpentry, electrics, scenic painting and stage management. She is a frequent over-hire at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, where she recently understudied for The Da Vinci Code in addition to assisting in its construction and working as a dresser. As an educator, she has directed, stage-managed and assistant production-coordinated for Summer Stock Stage’s summer Academy programs. She aims to pass on the gifts of resilience, camaraderie and joy that theatre can inspire in future generations. Sam is also an aspiring playwright with some staged readings under her own belt, and believes strongly in the power of theatre as an act of resistance. She lives with her partner Lo and their cat, Gorgonzola.

Claire Wilcher (Brenda Jean/Lucy)

Claire is feeling lucky to be back among the NHP folk, having been in last year's reading of Hiraeth, or When Pluto Was a Planet. Recent credits include IndyShakes' ADO, What the Constitution Means to Me with ALT, and IRT's The Play That Goes Wrong. Claire is the Education & Artistic Associate at IRT, and as a certified intimacy director, she is the resident intimacy consultant for both IRT and Summer Stock Stage.

Carly Everett (Stage Directions)

Carly Everett is an accomplished artist and theatrical professional holding a Bachelor of Science in Theatrical Performance & Directing from the University of Indianapolis (Class of 2020). Her multi-faceted career spans acting, directing, and design, notably serving as Drama Director at Oldenburg Academy and earning recognition as both a KCACTF Irene Ryan Acting Nominee and a KCACTF Costume Design Finalist. Carly’s extensive stage credits include principal roles such as Shannon in Post Democracy and Kathleen Haag in 1980 with the Storefront Theatre, as well as Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret, Jenny in Rare Birds, and Sylvie in Move Over Mrs. Markham at UIndy. She is absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to grace the stage once again and share live storytelling with an audience.

Outside of the theatre, Carly is incredibly grateful to her fiancé, Alex, for his unwavering support in the pursuit of all her dreams. Her deepest joy and inspiration come from her two beautiful children, ages 1 and 6, whom she lives her whole life for.

Logan Hill

Logan Hill is excited to be working with The New Harmony Project for the first time! As an Indianapolis local, she has been seen in many productions around town - her favorites include The Play that Goes Wrong (Sandra) and Legally Blonde (Serena) with B&B Dinner Theatre, The Rocky Horror Show (Janet) with Zach and Zack Productions, and Lucky Stiff (Annabel) with ATI. A graduate of Ohio Northern University (MT19), she has since performed at theme parks and regional theatres while making Indianapolis her home with her partner Jacob, and their dog and cat!

Hannah Boswell

Hannah Elizabeth Boswell is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to work with The New Harmony Project in this piece!! She has been an active member of the Indianapolis theatre community since the age of five, growing up both onstage and behind the scenes. In addition to performing, Hannah has extensive experience in directing, costuming, improv, and burlesque. Amaya Montañez (Sarai)

Amaya Montañez is a Puerto Rican artist from Jersey City, NJ. She holds a BFA in Acting from Rutgers University. She is alumni of INTAR’s UNIT 52 and LABrynth’s I.E. Her life’s goal is to remind POC that no form of self-expression is exclusive. Some of their credits include: Cleopatra at The Shakespeare's Globe and Flor in In The Bronx Brown Can Girls See Stars Too by Amalia Oliva Rojas.

Fé Torres (Saul)

Fé Torres (he/they) is a Chilean-American actor, writer and teaching artist born and raised in Queens, NY. He obtained a BFA in Multimedia Performing Arts from Lehman College. He has trained at HB Studios, Atlantic Acting School and Dell’Arte International as well as playwriting with Jose Rivera and Josefina Lopez. He is a proud UNIT 52 member at INTAR. Dakota Reed (Ariel)

Dakota Reed most recently appeared as Luke in All You Can Eat, written by Christopher Wittman and directed by Jacob David Lang, as part of the Indy FRINGE Festival. Previous stage credits include Peter Pan in Peter and the Starcatcher, McDermott in Alias Grace, Mr. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Felix in The Normal Heart, Cheché in Anna in the Tropics, and Picasso in Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Dakota holds a BFA in Acting from Ball State University, where he trained in dialects, movement, and stage combat. Dakota stepped away from performance for a brief period following the pandemic to dedicate his efforts to public housing in Chicago. His additional talents include advanced juggling, acrobatics, clowning, and guitar.

Aneisa Hicks (Rubee)

Aneisa is based in Chicago. Her past credits include Lifted Reading (Huntington Theatre /Wellesley College) Intimate Apparel (Asolo Repertory Theatre) POTUS (Steppenwolf Theatre) Chicago PD (NBC) A League of Their Own (Amazon Prime) Chicago Med (NBC) She is represented by DDO Artists Agency.

Victoria Lino (Jaqueline and Mictecacihuatl)

Victoria Lino is an Afro-Dominican artist whose work spans performance, playwriting, and poetry. She is an alum of The People’s Theatre Playwright Cohort. Her work has been recognized as a Semi-Finalist for the Van Lier New Voices Fellowship. As a performer Victoria has worked at INTAR theatre, Atlantic Theatre Company, and Powerhouse Theatre. An alum of The Soul Soiree Monologue Slam powered by BET. She is an inagural member of The Actors Center Mentorship Program & Graduate of Circle In The Square Theatre School. Victoria’s work was recently featured in Checkmark Production’s Summer Reading Series. She is a community curator, as she hosts open space salons, and has produced events to connect people to new work specifically by BIPOC individuals.

Milton Espinoza (Xavi)

Growing up in Newark, Milton dreamed of one day joining the ranks of the city's most influential artists. Even now, he aspires to inspire the masses with a voice as powerful as Whitney Houston’s, to master his craft with the precision of Sarah Vaughan, and to push artistic boundaries like Redman. His work centers on telling stories that are part of a Caribbean Rasanblaj—a rich tapestry that amplifies marginalized identities often overlooked in mainstream media, theater, and Hollywood. His recent credits include 2nd Murderer at the Flea, Julius Caesar, Passion Play, The Colored Museum, and An Octoroon at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, as well as Oedipus El Rey & Action at Wesleyan University.

Alfredo Antillon (Noor)

Alfredo Antillon is originally from Los Angeles, CA. After getting his MFA in Acting from the Brown University/Trinity Repertory program, he moved to New York City, where he now resides. His theatre credits include: Kween (Merrimack Repertory Theatre) Hamlet (Alabama Shakespeare Festival) Clyde’s (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Alabama Shakespeare and Arkansas Rep), Mojada: A Medea in Los Angeles (Yale Rep), Sueño; Sweat Fade; A Christmas Carol (Trinity Rep). The Late Wedding, Macbeth; Summer and Smoke (Brown Trinity Rep). Teatro en El Verano: Much Ado About Nothing/Tanta Bulla...¿Y Pa Que? (Bilingual Shakespeare). He is grateful to the ancestors and his mother for crossing boarders and risking it all so her kids could have a chance to dream and make those dreams a reality.
