Ron Mead
Mr. Mead serves as the SVP/Chief Mission Officer for St. Vincent Health in
Indianapolis, Indiana, a Catholic health ministry with 15 acute care
hospitals and over 11,000 employees. In this capacity Ron oversees: (1)
mission & values integration; (2) spirituality in the workplace; (3)
clinical & organizational ethics: and (4) care of the poor & community
benefit. He has eleven years experience as an executive in the former
Daughters of Charity Health System in Evansville, Indiana. His career also
includes over 12 years in health care related management consulting. He has
served on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations including:
Habitat for Humanity of Evansville, United Caring Shelters, the American
Cancer Society and Catholic Health Partners, Chicago, Illinois. He was
introduced to The Project in 2002 as the board/staff retreat facilitator.
He joined The New Harmony Project board in 2003, and was appointed board
chair in November 2006. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business
administration in 1979 from Drake University and a MBA from Rockhurst
College in 1984. Ron and his wife Carol live in Zionsville, Indiana and have
three children.
