John David Lutz, Conference Planning Chair, Founding Board Member




John David Lutz is the Chair of the Department of Theatre at the University of Evansville. Under his leadership the department is recognized as one of the premier theatre training programs in the country. He has directed six showcase productions at the national festival of the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival (KC/ACTF). Professionally, he directed the original New York production of BETWEEN DAYLIGHT AND BOONVILLE by Matt Williams, as well as directing productions at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, Brown County Playhouse and Indiana Repertory Theatre. He is a founding member of The New Harmony Project and served for three years as Conference Director. Recently, John David won membership in the College of Fellows of the American Theatre, a national organization created to recognize distinguished service to the theatre profession.
