James A Sanders, Governance Chair
James A. Sanders is director emeritus of the University of Southern Indiana
Corporate/Foundation Relations and former director of Historic New Harmony.
He has been involved with many special cultural and educational projects in
Indiana, the United States and Europe. As the first director of Historic New
Harmony, he worked to build the assets of the USI/Historic New Harmony
Foundation to develop new educational exhibits and to involve the people of
the town in Historic New Harmony activities. For the past twenty years he
has served on the board of the National Decorative Arts Trust and lectured
and consulted on antiques both in this country and in Europe. He is a
graduate of the University of Evansville and holds a graduate degree from
Indiana State University.
