Danny Sama
Danny Sama was a founder of the White Horse Theatre Company in Chicago, IL. He served as its Executive Director from 2002 to 2007. During that time, the company produced eight musical productions that garnered nine Jeff Citation nominations and won three. He appeared in WHTC's Songs for a New World and The Who's Tommy, co-directed the Jeff-nominated I Sing!, and produced the Jeff-nominated production of Merrily We Roll Along. During his tenure as Executive Director, Danny also oversaw the company's new works development program, including the three-year development of Mat Smart and Ethan Deppe's new rock musical, Keep Ishmael, which culminated in a full production in 2006. Danny received his bachelors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he also worked on several productions with the Illini Union Board. He also served on the Illini Union Board as a student appointee. Danny current resides in Chicago, IL and works for the University HealthSystem Consortium as the Senior Research Specialist in the Clinical Process Improvement department. He is currently pursuing an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
