Colette Irwin-Knott, Secretary/Treasurer & Finance Chair
Colette Irwin-Knott grew up in the small rural community of Argos in
northern Indiana. She began to develop her love for theater during a
semester abroad at Cambridge, England, with many weekend trips to the London
theater district. After graduating from Valparaiso University with a
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, she began her career at Umbaugh
in Indianapolis. As a partner in the firm, she provides financial advisory
services for a variety of local governments in Indiana, including schools
and libraries, issuing municipal bonds for construction improvements. She is
a member of several professional organizations, serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Independent Public Finance Advisors ("NAIPFA") and National Council of the Business College of Valparaiso University, and recently has been named
by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a ''Woman in the Lead'' for
financial services. Colette has been an active volunteer for community
groups, including serving on the board for an inner city church youth
academy and the Valparaiso University Guild. She and her husband Gary reside
in Zionsville, Indiana with their two sons, Aaron and Stefan.
