Karl Kenzler
Karl Kenzler is an actor, writer and teacher from New York. He has appeared on Broadway in TWELVE ANGRY MEN, THE CARETAKER with Patrick Stewart, DINNER AT EIGHT and the Tony Award winning production of THE HEIRESS. Off-Broadway credits include HAMLET at Classic Stage Company, SPINNING INTO BUTTER at Lincoln Center, THE CHARITY THAT BEGAN AT HOME and DIANA OF DOBSON’S at the Obie Award-winning Mint Theatre and his critically-acclaimed one-man show FIRE IN THE HEAD with A-1 Collaborators. Karl has worked across the United States at some of the country’s leading regional theatres, most recently appearing as “Gerald Murphy” in the world premiere play VILLA AMERICA at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. He originated the role of “Bruce Baldwin” in the American premiere of John Guare’s HIS GIRL FRIDAY at the Guthrie Theatre playing opposite Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance. On television, Karl can currently be seen in the recurring role of “Father Denis” on LAW & ORDER: SVU. Other appearances include guest starring roles on ALL MY CHILDREN, RESCUE ME, NOW AND AGAIN, LAW & ORDER and the pilot TRINITY, as well as the independent films MARVELOUS and NEUROTICA. As a teacher, he currently serves on the faculty of NYU’s Graduate Acting Program and is a panelist for the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, which is the exclusive nominating agency for the Presidential Scholars in the Arts.
